Dear colleagues,
I hope this email finds you well as you prepare for the holiday season. As we wind down our chapter
year, I want to thank each of you for your engagement and your friendship. Membership engagement is
the core of our success – whether it’s the Annual Appreciation BBQ, the Chapter retrainers, or the
countless opportunities to leverage our network of leadership – each of you is a critical cog in our
network.

In January, Jeff Grow will assume the Presidency of the Arizona Chapter, and we will welcome the
newest board member, Mike Beaton, as the Chapter Secretary. A special thank you to Mercedes Fortune
and Daven Byrd for their willingness to serve, I appreciate both of you. Every year is an opportunity for
our chapter to evolve and grow, and our chapter is poised to do so with our mixture of new and legacy
members. There is opportunity for everyone to contribute.

FBI Phoenix Field Office:

Please welcome SAC Jose A. Perez to Phoenix! SAC Perez brings a wealth of experience in Criminal
Investigations and leadership roles, and we look forward to collaborating with the new Executive
Management team. As some of you know, ASAC Dan Mayo was recently promoted to Section Chief in
DC. Joe Hooper has moved into the Acting ASAC role. Many of you will remember that Joe Hooper
presented Cybercrimes training at the Spring Retrainer in Prescott a few years ago. Lastly, I’d like to
congratulate ASAC Chad Alvarado on his retirement from the Bureau at the end of the year. Chad has
been a staunch supporter of the NA and a great partner with local and state law enforcement. We wish
you well in your next chapter!

We still have a couple of exciting events remaining and opportunities to engage.
November 30: Chief Chris Olson worked with the UofA Athletic Department to secure 250 free tickets to
the Territorial Cup football game between ASU and UofA on Saturday, November 30th! Yes, FREE. First
come, first served to Arizona chapter members (limit four per member). If we do not fulfill all the tickets,
then additional tickets will be offered to those attending the game (redeem the tickets at the tailgate
party before the football game). The Arizona Chapter will host the tailgate party at the University of
Arizona before the football game. The game time is still TBD, so the final details of the tailgate and the
game will be forthcoming early next week.

December 6: Chief Amy Bonney has organized the annual Arizona Chapter Christmas Party again in
Prescott. The Christmas party will be held at the American Warehouse, located at 226 N. Montezuma
Street, and will begin at 5 PM. The cost for each person attending is $25. Food will be served.
Additionally, each attendee who would like to participate in the fun and entertaining gift exchange is
asked to bring a gift valued at $25. If you have not registered yet, please do so right away with John
Philpot at fbinaaaztreasury@gmail.com.

Take care of yourselves. I look forward to seeing you in Tucson and Prescott. Thank you for your support
this year.

Best regards,
Bryan
